What
A free live masterclass on Zoom. Two nurses, one hour. The three drivers behind your blood pressure (stress, sugar, sodium), how hormone shifts after 40 push all three, and your questions answered live. Nothing is sold on the call.
Nobody in a trauma bay is rich. Nobody in a trauma bay is busy.
For twenty years in the ICU and the ER, I watched good people manage a number instead of the three things driving it: stress, sugar, and sodium. And for women over 40 there is a second half of the story, because shifting hormones lean on all three at once. Monday night my wife Annie and I teach both halves together, live and free, and take your questions. Nothing is sold on the call.

The one idea this whole class is built on
You spent decades learning how to manage money. Nobody taught you the money under the money. Your health is the account every other account draws from, and most people only find out how it works on their worst day. Monday night Annie and I will show you how that account really works, why the number on the cuff was never the whole story, and why the years after 40 change the math for women in ways nobody warned you about.
Some lessons charge tuition. This one costs an hour.
On this free masterclass, live on Zoom, you will discover
The number on your cuff is not random. Picture three faucets running into one sink. The cuff reads the water level. Most people never look at the faucets. Joel names all three, live, and only one of them is on your plate.
Why the same habits that worked at 35 stop working after 40. Annie walks through how shifting hormones lean on every corner of the Triangle at once: stress that will not settle, blood sugar that swings harder, sodium your body suddenly holds onto. If your numbers, sleep, and weight all moved together, this is the class that connects them.
Twenty years of trauma-bay arithmetic on what wealth really is. Why "time is money" is the most expensive lie you were ever sold, and what the people who walked out of my ER had in common.
One simple step you can take this week, before your next appointment, alongside your doctor and never instead of your doctor. Then we both answer your questions live. You leave with something to do, not just something to think about.
This class is live, not recorded, and a replay is not guaranteed. It is free every Monday, but Monday only comes once a week. If you can be there, be there.
The richest man in the ER is the one who walks out.

Why this class exists
He was sixty-four. Three blood pressure medications, taken exactly on schedule. He kept the list in his wallet on a folded index card, soft at the creases. That card was his diligence. And the number on the monitor above his head still would not come down.
So they added a fourth pill. Then a fifth. A few months later he was back on my unit. Same numbers. One more line on the card, in someone else's handwriting.
Standing at that bed at two in the morning, I kept asking the same question: why is nobody telling him what is actually driving this?
Hear me. That man was not lazy. He was not careless. He was doing everything he was told. Nobody had ever shown him the three things actually driving his number. Monday night we show you, both halves of the story.
In the ER there is a plastic bag marked Belongings. The watch goes in the bag. The wallet goes in the bag. The phone goes in the bag. Health is the only money that rides with you into the trauma bay. Everything else goes in the bag.
I could not teach this from a hospital room. By the time people reached me, the lesson had gotten expensive. So I built this class to teach it early, while the lesson is still free. For the mom. For the grandfather. For the man with the index card. And for you.
In twenty years, nobody on the stretcher ever asked me about their wallet.
They asked about their people. They asked about their time. Monday night is one hour, it is free, and it is about both.

Meet your hosts
Two Registered Nurses · One Household · One Class
Hi, I'm Joel. For twenty years I worked the front lines of ICU and emergency medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. Night shift after night shift, the same story played out in front of me: good people managing a number instead of understanding what was driving it. That is where the Triangle comes from: stress, sugar, and sodium, the three drivers behind the number on your cuff.
Teaching beside me is my wife, Annie. She is also a registered nurse, known to her audience as the Everyday Nurse, and her work lives in the half of the story I could not teach alone: what happens to women after 40, when shifting hormones start leaning on all three corners of the Triangle at once. If you have ever felt like your own body changed the rules on you mid-game, Annie is the one who explains what changed and why.
I tried to teach this at the bedside. But the bedside is a terrible classroom. By the time people reached me, the tuition was already paid, and it was paid in years. So we made a decision: get to people before the crisis. Teach the thing nobody was teaching. This class is the heart of that decision, taught live, where you can ask us anything.
Why is it free? Simple. Most people have never heard this once, and we are not willing to put a price on hearing it the first time. Nothing is sold on the call. No pitch, no order form, no "but wait." We do have paid ways to go deeper for people who want help later, and we will never hide that. But this hour stands on its own.
One more thing, so we are clear. We are nurses, not your doctor. This class is education, not medical advice, and we will never tell you to change your medications. Everything we teach is meant to be used alongside your doctor, never instead of your doctor. What we will do is make you the most informed person in the room at your next appointment.
We believe your body is a gift from God, meant to be stewarded, not gambled. And we believe you were made for a purpose that a number on a cuff does not get to cut short.
See you Monday night.
